Decided

No one likes adversity.  It is painful, sometimes excruciating.  You may think you have it all figured out, and then, BAM! right between the eyes, and you go down.  Now your faith is teetering in the balance.  Believe or not believe. Trust God or Fear. Trash your faith or dig in for the fight of your life and hold onto God and the Word for all you’re worth. Consequently, the adversity peels back the pious words and attitudes and lays you bare. Raw. Humbled. Grieving. Angry. Stunned.

And then, you decide. You crawl out from under the lies of the enemy, the trauma and emotional roller-coaster ride, the heartache and confusion.

You decide you can’t abandon your faith now.  You can’t turn your back on God. Like when Jesus asked His disciples if they wanted to leave him too, Peter responded, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also, we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

There is no other option. I am going all-in for my sons, grandsons, and nephews, for my daughter, daughters-in-heart, granddaughters, and nieces.  This is the bottom line, and I will not shrug off the urgent call to prayer, the knowing in my spirit that this is spiritual warfare in the supernatural for the hearts of my loved ones.  Spiritual warfare for their souls and eternal destinies. Everything else is secondary.

It’s coming down to the wire. Jesus is coming back soon, and until His arrival, I will strengthen my faith in His word and pray in the Holy Spirit. I will not lie down or back down from the fight.

The Lord reminds me that my part is to keep the faith, speak His word, and stand strong in Him. Pray and intercede.  He will do His part. I will do mine.  He will do what is impossible for me.
